The Carlow Education and Training Centre is one of the longest running Traveller Training Centres in the country, having been established since 1978.

The Centre is located in Carlow town and caters for adult learners from the Traveller Community. 


We provide educational and training programmes that help to develop a sense of responsibility, self reliance, educational progression and educational integration of the learners.


The Carlow Education and Training Centre provides a purposeful and happy environment for learners that promotes and respects Traveller culture, values and lifestyles.






 

AONTAS STAR Award

In 2010 the Carlow Education and Training Centre won the prestigious national STAR award from AONTAS the National Adult Learning Organisation for making an outstanding contribution to adult education.
